A COTTAGE IN CORNWALL
Our first offer comes from Slovene Jelka Greif in Cornwall, who lives in the charming village of Lamorna near the sea with her British husband and family:
Jelka offers bed-and-breakfast to members of BSS and their families and friends in a traditional cottage home. Large double bedroom with bathroom. Suitable for couples and families. Wi-fi.
The cottage is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, five minutes’ walk from a small sandy beach with a café. A well-known gastro pub, the Lamorna Wink, is located in the village. Within short driving distance are picturesque locations such as Land’s End, Porthcurno, Sennen, Mousehole, Newlyn, St. Michael’s Mount, St. Ives and a host of stunning beaches. Plenty of possibilities for coastal walks and cycling.
Your host Jelka looks forward to giving you a warm welcome! For more information and prices email email@example.com.
A GOAT TRIAL IN VIŠNJA GORA
Evelina and Marcus Ferrar have translated a much-loved Slovene folk tale into English. It’s called “A Goat Trial”, set in the medieval town of Višnja Gora in Slovenia, and as the title suggests it’s a nonsense story. It’s juicy and funny, and you fold it out to read – 1.60 metres long. The book is created by Slovenian designer Robert Kuhar, who also made the BSS website. Originally written by Josip Jurčič, this version has both English and Slovene texts.
If you wish to purchase it, contact shop.visnjagora.com. The price in Slovenia is €8.70.
